Who We Are

A rational alternative to the current political landscape.

ACP - “A Connecticut Party” is not beholden to the extreme platforms of our current political parties. We at ACP are a party that advocates for strategic consolidation to limit waste and excess spending; support homeownership; and the promotion of construction and development.

We believe that support of an open and equal education system, as well as a thriving business community, is needed to help our town thrive and prosper.

Better Tomorrow

A Better Quality Of Life

West Hartford needs a multi-generational community center, so all residents can take advantage of our facilities. People should feel comfortable walking and riding bikes in town – we need to do a better job of making our town pedestrian and bike friendly. Let’s build a dog park, where families and their pets can play.

Economic and Business Development

Better long-term strategic planning will help West Hartford not only have better facilities and services, but do so in a cost effective way. Let’s consider a new multi-generational community center. Using the Saint Bridget’s property that West Hartford already owns would enable the town to sell off the Elmwood Community Center to developers, bringing in new housing and business, all while increasing the tax base. Creating a combined Police and Fire center would enable similar results.

Safety and Security

West Hartford needs to help our first responders, by enhancing their training and support, and re-establishing our community policing program. Let’s enact a plan to address our Town’s aging infrastructure, including modifying intersections that no longer operate well with how the roads around them have evolved, and taking care of our watershed and sewer system.

A Sound Fiscal Approach

A Connecticut Party of West Hartford’s candidates include small business owners that understand the need to balance spending, investments, and revenue growth in order to assure West Hartford’s future. For example, ACP suggests a zero-based budgeting approach will allow us to create a budget that is based on what is actually needed.
